Went and picked up my macbook. Been watching Cowboy Beebop. Just spun up the cyberdeck on its battery, with one cpu core at 100%, to see how long the battery lasts. Discovered I may have a problem, since it looks like the computer rebooted

Got the acrylics stripped off my nails. Took my macbook in to get the keyboard fixed.

Got the Element back. Trying to ready myself for working in an office again.

Went in for lab work ahead of monday's endo appt. Breakfast at Leena's. Upgrades to CyborgFolly.

Did some work on Convivius, got my hair done, found out the Element should be ready tomorrow.

Video games, got car serviced, saw Spider Man.

Figured out the problem with the kernel: they reversed the name order of the physical ports, so lan1 was now wan. Moved the cable, everything worked. VPN software didn't, tho, so I'll fight with that later.

Compiling kernels, playing Castle Story, went to see MIB:I.

Spent the day fighting with the Espressobin to get it set up as a server. Got that done, finally, and found that the kernel they provide - to this device with three gigabit ethernet ports labeled lan0, lan1, and wan - doesn't include netfilter

Ran errands this morning; dropping off sharps, mailing a dead hard drive RMA, depositing a check. Lunch with a former coworker, then showing her the house and giving her a monitor. Now rewatching Star Wars.

Played some video games, did some more work on Eniac, watched some TV.

I could have sworn I posted yesterday, but apparently not. I guess I must've acknowledged the reminder then gotten distracted? Anyway, uh.. yesterday I went to the Container Store to buy another case of their shoeboxes, which I've been using to organize my office.

Took my car to the dealership to get it appraised, because they want to buy it back. Wasn't serious about selling it, of course, but if the number was right, I'd be willing to think about it at least. While there, I asked the

Nothing much happened today. Played thru a video game I'd apparently bought ages ago. Got updates on the car (won't know if it's a total until monday or tuesday, but it's close).

So, yesterday I accepted a job. Contracting thru Fuel Talent to Smartsheet, specifically the recently-acquired 10,000ft group. I start on the 16th. Thus, today I headed out to sign the new hire paperwork. Aaaand got into an accident on I-5, just shy of
